Wow! Its been quite a while...

It has been almost three years since I posted to this blog, and in that time so many things have happened, both internationally, nationally, locally, and personally. I will begin my return with some commentary on local elections and my personal take on them.

Our District One Supervisor, Mr. Ronnie Shortt, was re-elected in overwhelming fashion -- nearly 2 votes for every 1 for his opponent. I am pleased that Ronnie was re-elected, but I am hopeful that consolidation of schools will move forward in a timely fashion.

Speaking of school consolidation, I was sorry to see the people of District One elect one Rocky Cantrell to the school board for a four-year term. His agenda, at least initially, was a personal one aimed at removing the principal of PHS from her post. Let us hope that he has seen the light and will understand the consequences of his future actions with regard to his elected position.
